V13 Photo Stop at Museum - a photo on Flickriver

            The Sydney Electric Train Society (SETS) chartered a 4-car V Set from CityRail to run a "Suburban Interurban" tour on Saturday the 25th of June, 2011. V13 is seen here standing at Museum for a passenger photo stop. V13 is significant as it was almost withdrawn, and consists entirely of older cars (DCM/DCT/DCT/DCM)

DCM 8028 (the lead car of V13 in this shot) was hit by a falling tree at Medlow Bath on the 5/7/2011. Only one person was injured, but substantial damage was sustained to the carriage, and it was later scrapped.

Whilst there is still a set targeted as V13 at the time of uploading (nearly ten years later), it doens't consist of any of the cars photographed here - it's now a more traditional DIM/DIT/DIT/DIM set.
