OLD FORT IN NEW DELHI - a photo on Flickriver

            Archeological investigations show that this site has been a fort from 1000BC, evidence for settlements in 400-300 BC, destroyed and rebuilt by marauders in 1530s, repaired and refurnished in 1840s, the original site of Indraprastha, an ancient capital of India. The wall around the fort is over a mile long, as high as 60ft and up to 12-15 ft thick. Yes, there is also a new fort in Delhi, called the Red Fort, built in mid 17th century.
