Moraine Lake - a photo on Flickriver

Moraine Lake gets its' blue color as a result of the glaciers grinding rock to very fine particulates which is then carried into the lake. The lake absorbs all the color of the sunshine except what is reflected by the particulates in the water and results in the color you see.
