A Break in the Rain at Troy Burgers

Inspired by the works of Mina Rhodes on Flickr, I thought I'd try some night shooting in the rain, getting my feet wet (pardon the pun) and grab a couple of photos of the Troy Burger place, not far from where I live in Glendale. This is one of them. I even attempted to replicate the color temperature Mina prefers in her photos. I tried to "correct" the colors in Lightroom, but it didn't really work for me, even though though it looked "right." It reminded me of when one of my cinematography instructors in film school said that having "perfect" white light can be boring. And he was right.

It also gave me the chance to break out my Canon EOS, which I hadn't been using much lately. Yes, the lenses are slow, but I boosted the ISO and got the exposure and look I desired.
