Cascades and fall aspens, Bishop Creek (south fork)

            The color's just getting started in the eastern sierra--Bishop Canyon is probably the most colorful right now, at maybe 60% of peak (with some spots at peak, and others still a couple of weeks away).  I'm hoping the big storm forecast for this week doesn't 1. kill the color or 2. blow all the leaves off.  If you have plans to head that way in the next few weeks (and assuming the weather doesn't do bad things), you'll have plenty to shoot.  The light's also been especially good--I shot perhaps the most impressive sunset of my life (so far) on Friday night; I'll post it later this week.  If you were anywhere in the north fork of Bishop Canyon Friday night, that was my voice you heard echoing off the cliffs.  It was pretty exciting.  :)
