New View for a New Year - a photo on Flickriver

            My new lens got it's trial run today, and after another slope of the learning curve I think I will like it a lot. It's a Canon EF-S 55-250mm f 4-5.6 IS II. Here's one of my first few shots to share SOOC. 

It's bass-ackwards from my other lens, the zoom ring and focus ring rotate the opposite direction than my regular 28-80 or the 70-300 this is replacing. The IS new to me also which just adds another twist to the many differences I will have to adjust to. But I think I will enjoy learning her quirks :)
