The tall tower @ the back right is part of Westminster Cathedral (not to be confused with Westminster Abbey in the middle of the picture) - its the Roman Catholic cathedral in westminster - the tower itself is called St. Edward's Tower.

Westminster Abbey sits in the middle of the picture. Buried in the cathedral are a huge amount of the previous kings and queens (and famous poeple) of england - see here for a full list.

The Palace of Westminster dominates the left of the picture - with the clock tower prominent - usually called Big Ben - this in fact refers to the Bell in the Clock Tower as it is called.

Portcullis House sits to the right in the foreground.
