Sh2-157 & NGC 7635 - The Lobster Claw & Bubble Nebula

            Sharpless 157, also known as the Lobster Claw Nebula, is a bright emission nebula in the constellation Cassiopeia.   It is located about 11,000 light-years away.

Just south is the better-known Bubble Nebula, NGC 7635.  The "bubble" is created by the stellar wind from a massive hot, 8.7 magnitude young central star.  It is located about 9,100 light-years away.

Within this image are a few other objects.  NGC 7510 is an open cluster of stars just above and left of the Lobster Claw.  NGC 7538 is an emission nebula center left of the image.  Both these objects are in the constellation Cepheus which borders the Cassiopeia constellation.

Ha subs  47 * 1,200 sec = 15 hours 40 min
OIII subs 19 * 1,200 sec = 6 hours  20 min
SII subs  19 * 1,200 sec = 6 hours 20 min
R, G, B for stars = 1 hour
