Euphorbia milii (crown of thorns, Christ plant, Christ thorn) is a species of flowering plant in the spurge family Euphorbiaciae, native to Madagascar. The species name commemorates Baron Milius, once Governor of Réunion, who introduced the species to France in 1821. It is suspected that the species was introduced to the Middle East in ancient times, and legend associates it with the crown of thorns worn by Christ. It is also found in Kerala, India. There is a tale stating that there were Jews living in Kerala and they brought the Christ thorn plant from Israel to India.

La Corona de Cristo, también conocida como Corona de Espinas, es una planta suculenta de crecimiento arbustivo originaria de la isla de Madagascar muy fácil de cultivar y cuyas vistosas flores la convierten en una atractiva pieza ornamental en jardines, terrazas y balcones, e incluso en el interior del hogar.  Foto hecha en la Estación Texaco del municipio de El Congo en la Carretera Panamericana que tiene un lindo jardín en sus alrededores (además de excelentes precios).

Coroa-de-cristo  é um arbusto espinhoso originário de Madagascar muito difundido no Brasil, onde é utilizado como planta ornamental e como proteção em cercas vivas. Também é conhecida como colchão-de-noiva, dois-irmãos, bem-casados, coroa-de-espinhos, martírios, duas-amigas, coroa-de-nossa-senhora e dois-amigos.
Seu nome científico, Euphorbia millii, foi proposto por Des Moulins em homenagem ao barão Pierre-Bernard Milius, governador pela França da Ilha de Bourbon, atual Ilha Reunião, que levou algumas destas plantas para o Jardim Botânico de Bordeaux em 1821. Bastante difundida nos estados brasileiros de Minas Gerais e Bahia, também recebe os nomes de dois-amores, bem-casados ou dois-amigos, em razão do fato de suas flores, pequenas, pedunculadas, com brácteas de cor vermelha bem acentuada, surgirem sempre aos pares, em cimeiras terminais.
