Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) Male, Flying from a Bulrush Head

Common or Eurasian Kingfisher (Alcedo atthis) male, in flight taking off from a Bulrush (Typha latifolia) seed-head. He's spotted a fish and is about to dive into the water.
A big crop on this shot taken through a dirty double glazed window and it's blurry but I like the sense of movement and the S-shape of the bird's body.
Photo taken in Darfield, Barnsley, South Yorkshire in early August.
