Fun with the Boss

            A fun morning with the boss. Dr. Ian Roberts is the Superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools and a former Olympic track and field athlete. A raffle prize at a fun night at Hubbell Elementary School include a race against the Superintendent. The 2nd grader who won recruited a few schoolmates to join in and, with the entire school out to watch, the runners were off. Dr. Roberts is also the first Black leader of the most diverse school district in Iowa, and it's always fun to see the reaction and engagement students of all ages have with him.
