Yosemite Smoggy Magic after Wildfire

Don't the colors in this image look fake? That's what I hate to create in my photographs. However, I recall, if my photographic memory was right, this is pretty much how the colors looked that day.

We went into Yosemite while worry slightly about the ongoing wildfire in Yosemite back in summer 2013. California was desperately thirsty that summer, and it was no surprise that Yosemite National Park suffered from the dryness. We were going back to our campground near Hetch Hetchy Reservoir that evening from Yosemite National Park, and we just could not help stopping the car on the way.

The colors of the sunset was just incredible!

Yes, Yosemite creates beautiful colors quite often. However the smoggy air we were hating during the day created this magical hues that evening. After the sunset, we decided to stop the car and walk around - and watch the horizon until we really feel we had enough. That was some long time, that was one of the moments you feel like time froze. The color kept shifting and blue increased while red decreased.

Gosh I miss these moments.

This photograph is my attempt to appeal that you were there with us. I hope some feel that you were there, fortunately after the wildfire and smoggy, unclear day, yet to witness these magical colors of nature.
