PMT 81 (KWG 131W) - a photo on Flickriver

PMT 81 (KWG 131W)

            I opted for the Baslow route, when I saw this Dom III Leopard turn up on the X23 - or was it the 58 ? Not often that I got to travel on a Dom III, especially not on a scenic route like this where you can admire the views through its panoramic windows ! Anyway, the driver wasn't hanging about at the stop, and as soon as I had got off it, I barely had time to cross the road for a photo, and he was away. So not quite what I had hoped for, but a decent 'holding' shot until the next time. 

This was only a very recent arrival at PMT, and an even more recent repaint, as it had joined the fleet with the takeover of Turner's at Brown Edge as recently as January 1988. It had originally been new to Excelsior of Dinnington, and after four years with PMT it went on its travels again, reaching Transit Express Travel of Chilwell in 2000. The owner retained it as a preserved vehicle in later years, and I assume it is still around today.
