Leviathan.

Here is the first picture I shot during my road trip along the West Coast (Seattle to SF), near the Washington/Oregon border last September.

I almost missed this location while driving. But I decided that even with rain, I had to go back and take a few shots. I am extremely happy with the result, and the very peaceful atmosphere... very Zen.
Which brings me to a very strong influence I had in mind while processing this image: some of the Chinese and Japanese water paintings that use shapes and very subtle tones to depict and create amazingly peaceful and eerie landscapes.
