West Lobby, the Parker House - a photo on Flickriver

            The Parker House in Boston opened its doors in 1855 and has worked its way into the fabric of the city.  Charles Dickens stayed here (in the building which preceded the present 1927 structure) and the restaurant is known for Parker House Rolls and Boston Cream Pie, both of which originated in the hotel. The hotel, owned by the Dunfey family for many years, is now part of the Omni hotels group and appears to be flourishing.  I certainly couldn't afford the $515.00 room rate they were asking...
