Wolf under the Aurora v2 - a photo on Flickriver

            I posted this shot earlier this year. The first version was just slightly edited in lightroom with mainly general white balance, color and luminescence adjustments. Looking back at it, I thought I could do a better job by treating separately the different elements (hills, sky/aurora and wolf), so I broke it into pieces in photoshop to make more detailed adjustments and get this second version. 
For the shot: Canon 7D on the ice of the Coppermine River in western Nunavut at -28C in January, with motion sensor trigger and flash.
