THE JUMP - Teufelstaettkopf, Bavaria

            It was a beautiful late summer day and I had taken a day off to go hiking with my daughter. The goal was the Teufelstättkopf, a very beautiful panoramic mountain near Unterammergau. We were out early because it should be up to 30 degrees. Once at the top, we sat down on a ledge a little below the summit when a few young hikers also reached the summit. And as carefree as young people are, the rock slab below the summit was used for posing. One of them then jumped into the air on the rock - it looked so spectacular that I asked him to repeat the whole thing again and so I was prepared for this scene. The first and only shot fit, exactly as I had imagined.

Es war ein wunderschöner Spätsommertag und ich hatte mir einen Tag freigenommen, um mit meiner Tochter eine Bergwanderung zu unternehmen. Ziel war der Teufelstättkopf, ein sehr schöner Aussichtsberg bei Unterammergau. Wir waren früh unterwegs weil es bis zu 30 Grad werden sollte. Oben angekommen ließen wir uns etwas unterhalb des Gipfels auf einem Felsvorsprung nieder, als ein paar junge Wanderer ebenfalls den Gipfel erreichten. Und übermütig wie junge Menschen sind, wurde die Felsplatte unterhalb des Gipfels für Posing genutzt. Einer sprang dann auf der Felsplatte in die Luft - das sah so spektakulär aus, dass ich ihn bat, das Ganze noch einmal zu wiederholen und so war ich dann auf diese Szene vorbereitet. Der erste und einzige Schuss passte, genau so wie ich es mir vorgestellt hatte.
