Bearded Emperor Tamarin (Saguinus imperator subgrisescens)

            Tamarins are somewhat role-reversed versus stereotypical western humans.  Though females gestate and birth young, of course, most of the childraising is done by males.  Tamarin society is somewhat matriarchal, with a dominant female leading the troop and keeping a harem of males.

Polyandry (one female having many mates) actually makes more sense than polygamy (one male have many mates) in that it encourages the harem of males to all contribute to raising the young, since none know for sure if the young is theirs but they all believe there's a chance.
