            It is astonishing how wildlife can survive in the smallest and most unlikely of places. Five years ago I discovered that we had 2 newts living in an old Belfast sink that is connected below another old shallow sink and an old copper. Water circulates between the three with the aid of a pump. Today I cleaned the pump and refreshed the area and found that through the following years the three have now multiplied and become seven. There are three males and four females.
