defense of the chick - a photo on Flickriver

            I couldn't believe my eyes, about 10-15 seagulls flew around the pair of swans and landed in the water. It was pure hooliganism. The swans tried to protect their chick.
That was also successful, suddenly the seagulls were gone again.
But it was probably the case that the seagulls didn't want anything from the swans... there was duck feed floating in the pond... that was completely gone after the attack.

Ich traute meinen Augen nicht, etwa 10-15 Möwen flogen um das Schwanenpaar herum und landeten im Wasser. Es war blankes Rowdytum. Die Schwäne versuchten ihr Küken zu schützen.
Das gelang auch, plötzlich waren die Möwen wieder verschwunden.
Aber es war wohl so, dass die Möwen gar nichts von den Schwänen wollten... da schwamm wohl Entenfutter im Teich... das war nach der Attacke komplett weg.
Sehr couragiert das Schwanenpaar.
