            I apologise - there is nothing in my household in really bright colours. To make up for it, I've brought along a new Katerchen story

Timmy got up around 7pm on Easter Monday and soon disappeared. I think he went to the loo first, wherever. I don't want to know any more details 😉 Around 9pm I realised that he hadn't come in at all. Very unusual, as he hadn't eaten anything all day.

When he wasn't there at 11pm, I got nervous and started whistling for him in the front and back. To no avail. Before I went to bed at around 1am, I did the same thing again. I knew something was wrong. Before going to bed, I took a sleeping pill because I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep otherwise. The tablet worked and I woke up at around 5.30am.

I got out of bed immediately and checked. No Timmy. It's hard to
search the neighbourhood at this time of night shouting and whistling, so I lay down again, only to doze off from one nightmare to the next.

I finally got up just before seven. Still no Timmy. I was getting
ready to feed the birds when the bell rang (the motion detector on the patio door) and Timmy rushed through the cat flap. He went straight to his cold buffet and dived in. He didn't have an eye for me at first. Understandable, after 24 hours on a zero diet 😉

I had put the bird food out in the meantime and then took the lid off the bucket of mealworms for the birds on the patio. Before I knew it, Timmy had come from inside and had his head in the bucket. He ate for so long that I could easily get a camera and take a photo. Meal time!

Then he went back inside, went to the buffet again and then
disappeared outside for a few minutes. I was sitting at my PC in the meantime. When he came back in, he was in urgent need of a cuddle and came over to my desk. He would have preferred to sleep next to me, but that was probably too uncomfortable for him, so he disappeared into bed. On Tuesday evening, he was in such need of a cuddle - it was exhausting 😊

And the moral of the story: don't go into other people's garages!
Remember that, Timmy!!!

8 days later

In the evening I went back down to the garage and a neighbour from the other side of the stream came over the bridge with his dog and approached me. He told me that they came back from holiday on Easter Monday evening and unloaded the car, all the doors wide open of course. When they were finished, they slammed the doors shut and that was that.

The next morning at 7 a.m., the wife passes the car on her way to work and the black cat is lying on the dashboard, but not for long. She got the car keys and freed the prisoner. He  disappeared very quickly and without apologising for peeing in the car. I made up for it earlier 😼😉

Many thanks to my neighbours who took the mishap in their stride 💐💐💐

And the moral of the story: never lock a cat in your car, it could
stink you for a long time! 😉😉😉
