Wednesday Walk - Packet House Worsley

            The Packet House, on the Bridgewater Canal at Worsley, is an 18 century, Grade II listed building where people would go and buy tickets for the ‘packet boat’. The  passenger services started on the Canal in 1769 and by 1781 there was a daily service between Manchester and Worsley.
