            [EN] The Wall Museum East Side Gallery  has been announced by President Mikhail Gorbachev at the anniversary of the Fall of the Wall and has been opened in 2016. It is the first and only Wall museum that tells the full story from the reasons for building the Wall to its fall in the dramatic days of November 1989 when the world changed from one day to another.

Presenting never before seen evidence, films and one hundred screens you can experience the most thrilling period of history, when the Cold War was ended and the world was saved.

As the media wrote, if you want to understand the history of Berlin, the Wall and the Cold War this is a must for every visitor.

[DE] Im The Wall Museum erleben die Besucher direkt an der Berliner Mauer im ehemaligen Todesstreifen die Geschichte der Berliner Teilung und des schönsten Ereignisses der Deutschen- den Fall der Berliner Mauer, multimedial inszeniert und mit einem roten Faden vom Bau der Mauer bis zu ihrem Fall 1989. Das Mauer Museum befindet sich im ehemaligen Mühlenspeicher an der berühmten East Side Gallery und der Grenzstation Oberbaumbrücke.

In 13 Räumen erleben die Besucher die ereignisreiche Geschichte Deutschlands, der DDR und des Kalten Krieges. Original Ausstellungsstücke, multimediale Präsentationen und einzigartige Originalbeiträge berühmter Persönlichkeiten der Zeitgeschichte wie Michail Gorbatschow oder Leonardo DiCaprio machen die Teilung Deutschlands und wie diese überwunden wurde auf eine überwältigende Weise erlebbar.

Ein Besuch des Mauer-Museums lässt viele Gäste erstmals verstehen, wie es zum Mauerfall kam, und vermitteln unbekannte Aspekte und viele interessante Hintergrund-Informationen. Das vielfach ausgezeichnete Museum an der Berliner Mauer ist ideal für Schüler und geschichtsinteressierte Reise-Gruppen und überrascht selbst erfahrende Historiker mit einer Fülle faszinierender Filme und besonderer Exponate.
