(Es). Historia: Golpejar, León, España. Una tarde de agosto salimos a dar un paseo por los montes cercanos a León. En una finca se había declarado un incendio y el helicóptero de la Junta de Castilla y León había acudido a apagar el fuego. Hizo varias pasadas y nos dio tiempo a caminar para llegar justo debajo de su trayecto. En el momento de la toma volvía a por más agua al cercano río Torío.

Toma: Estaba un poco complicado la toma por el hecho de que faltaban unos segundos para que empezaran a caer gruesas gotas del agua que todavía quedaba en el cesto que transportaba el helicóptero. Además de disparar a contraluz el helicóptero pasaba muy cerca por lo que el movimiento era bastante rápido. Una pocas fotos y rápidamente darte la vuelta para encorvarte y tapar la cámara. 

Tratamiento: Con Aperture. Original en RAW. Mejora básica del RAW con los parámetros predefinidos de Aperture. He preferido centrar la imagen totalmente en un encuadre cuadrado porque da más rendimiento para objetos con suficiente simetría, como es el caso. El contraluz obligó a modificar mucho las luces bajas y el contraste, de ahí halo que se forma en algunos puntos de recorte con el cielo.

 (En). The History: Golpejar, León, Spain. One August afternoon we went for a walk in the mountains near León. In an estate had been declared a fire and a helicopter from the Junta de Castilla y León had come to put out the fire. He made several passes and gave us time to walk to reach just below the line. In the moment of the photo the helicopter was returning to gather more water of the nearby river Torío.

Taking up: The capture was a bit complicated for the fact that a few seconds left they were starting falling thick drops of the water that still was staying in the basket that was transporting the helicopter. Beside shooting at cross-light the helicopter it was happening closely together for what the movement was rapid enough. Few photos and rapidly to give you the return to bend and to cover the camera.

Treatment: With Aperture. Original in RAW. Basic improvement of the RAW with Aperture's preset parameters.  I have preferred centring the image totally on a square frame because it gives more performance for objects with sufficient symmetry, since it is the case. The backlight forced to modify very much the low lights and the contrast, of there halo that is formed in some points of cut by the sky.
