The Perfect Storm

            I'm so excited to show you that storm that I'm gonna explain how we got here.

This is the Philippines. I've been on Panglao Island for about a day when I decided to go an visit its big sister, Bohol Island, on the other side of a bridge that connects the two. 

And, to do achieve that in  the best way possible, I decided to rent a scooter.

So we left Panglao in the morning under a clear blue sky that remained til the end of the day when we finally had to come back from the other side of Bohol, a mere 80 kilometers away.

As the sky darkened, we could see that there was something more than the arrival of the night, a distant, yet explosive storm cell that was right in our direction.

So we tried to go as fast as possible in order to get home before the storm would hit us.

The entire way, those clouds were facing us, constantly unleashing threatning lightings. It was an incredible show... But not the most incredible thing.

The most incredible thing was that those clouds were simply immobile and just further away from the point we would have to turn and get onto the bridge that comes back on Panglao.

So when we got to the bridge, we had all the luxury to make a stop, get our jaws dropped, remain dry, and take my most extraordinary storm picture.
