Magic Moment III

            The very last seconds before German Navy Westland Sea King MK41 accomplishes it´s Search and Rescue (SAR) forever.
This type of helicopter will be phased out of service in the German Navy end of August 2024 after 50 years of flying.

The Marineflieger Geschwader 5 celebrated this last landing at Nordholz Airbase together with former members of the unit and many representatives of organisations the SAR crews worked with.
The Commander of this flight signed off his crew and the whole fleet of helicopters from SAR service to the Commander of German Naval Aviation this day.
