Poète, envole-toi au bout de l’univers,
Où germent les trésors de radieux paysages,
Pour nourrir ton esprit de perfection sauvage,
Prompte à illuminer tes citadins hivers.

Abandonne un instant ton quotidien amer
Dont la monotonie assombrit ton ouvrage,
Afin de t’égayer sous des cieux sans nuages,
Qu’un soleil flamboyant habille d’outremer.
 
Troubadour, va cueillir sur de lointains rivages
Des gerbes enflammées de soyeuses images,
Zélées à conjurer tes cauchemars diserts.

Ta plume, retrouvée au bout de ton voyage, 

 

 
Enrichie des pays que tu auras couverts,
Épanchera ta joie en myriade de vers.

Where the treasures of radiant landscapes sprout,
To feed your mind with wild perfection,
Ready to illuminate your city dwellers winters.
 
Give up your bitter daily life for a moment
Whose monotony darkens your work,
To cheer you up under cloudless skies,
Let a blazing sun dress ultramarine.
 
Troubadour, go and gather on distant shores
Flaming bundles of silky images,
Zealous to ward off your spoken nightmares.
 
Your feather, found at the end of your journey,
Enriched with the countries that you will have covered,
Pour out your joy in myriad verses.
