I have my doubts...but I'm down with it.

            Laura Y is everything you see and more.  She's brass, she's cross, she's sweet and she's smart, she's rebel and maybe a little bit conventional too.  What I know is Laura Y is a tornado of thoughts and an overcomer of so many experiences. She's been hurt (as have we all) and she's bounced back stronger than ever!  I took this photo when I stopped climbing up the stairs of the Lincoln Memorial because I heard someone singing.  It was Laura. She was in her own world but the invitation was for anyone and everyone to join her.  I did.  I sat down chatted with her and we talked.  Most things I said she would connect to a poem or verses of popular songs and musicals.  Her memory is prodigious. I took this photo as she probed what I'm really all about.  She seemed a bit suspicious.  I guess I convinced her and this was the moment.  I would end up spending the day hanging out with Laura Y.  She's a friend to this day and I'm glad she's doing well as she chases her dreams and destiny.  I can say that she's a very special person!  Here's to Laura, thanks for being down for it, and courageously vulnerable!  Washington DC, 10 June 2017.
