The Skidaddler

            European Hare [Lepus europaeus]

Having zig-zagged up the track, this guy leapt into a field under a beech hedge, and crouched, stalk-still, attempting to hide in the long grass…just long enough for my very quick snap of the camera. He then skidaddled across the field. A lovely encounter!
