First light.

            Eight years ago we packed up our 4x4 ute, left the city lights in exchange for a life in the middle of the outback. We only intended to be away for 12 months and now 8 years later, we are still here. 

 It has been an amazing experience living in a very remote Aboriginal community. 

We have spent the last 8 years with an amazing and dynamic Warlpiri people. We have laughed, cried and mourned with them, they have shared a precious part of their lives with us, that has had a profound effect on us, which we and truly grateful.

 To cut a long story short, This photo was taken on the Queensland and the Northern Territory border and it was our First NT sunrise and after some 3,500 km of driving this was our welcome to the NT.
