If music B the food of LOVE - a photo on Flickriver

'If music be the food of love, play on.’ This is one of the most famous opening sentences in all of English literature, and one of Shakespeare’s most quoted lines. He opens his great comic play, Twelfth Night, with it. The play is very much about love – different kinds of love – and all of the characters are affected by it. One of the things I found interesting was that Twelfth Night pointed out that if you think a person is a particular gender and in reality they are the opposite of what you think, you can still fall in love with them despite that. So what does gender really mean and can we be attracted to the qualities of a person beyond mere gender? As with all higher emotions, it's completely subjective and based on experience or lack of it. The play is billed as a comedy because sometimes love/romance can make fools of us all.

The opening monologue introduces us to young Orsino who is indulging himself in a sea of emotion because he foolishly (some would say) fell in love with a person who is not at all interested in him;

"If music be the food of love, play on,
Give me excess of it that, surfeiting,
The appetite may sicken and so die.
That strain again, it had a dying fall.
O, it came o’er my ear like the sweet sound
That breathes upon a bank of violets,
Stealing and giving odour. Enough, no more,
’Tis not so sweet now as it was before."

For this weekend's Wanderlust Sales Event, Sway's has two beautiful items at daft prices. Store based, you'll need to go and visit Sway's to pick up these garden products!

a) Sway's [Love] Trellis Pergola 3.2
These beautiful pergolas have versions with either pink or red ribbons woven through the trellising at the top, and a floor with heart shape decor. There are colour versions with/without the floor and the floor by itself, which leads to a lot of decorating scenarios. I used the red ribboned pergola in the scene with Land Impact of 8 which is really good considering all the pieces of the trellis
b) Sway's [Roja] Bench - benches to match the pergolas - there's red and pink versions - 5 Land Impact - the benches have single and couples animations with Swap and Adjust facilities

Landscaping pieces not in the weekend sales:-

a) Sway's [Ivo] Log Wall and Edging 3.2
Various log walls and edgings which have moss or wood versions, this is a lovely building set for gardens and parks which I've found very useful, I joined up a line of the irregular log wall versions in the scene - 2 Land Impact each
b) Sway's [Ruel] Beach Fence . Aged Set
Not just for the beach! There are crooked, broken and straight pieces of this fence building set which are primarily for use on beaches where the weather ages the wood and storms break the fencing, but they are also very useful to softly deliniate borders and edges in gardens. I used one of the crooked pieces to partially enclose a rose tree in the scene - 1 Land Impact each
