Trojan Dog aka FIDO - a photo on Flickriver

            Fairfield Industrial Dog Object.  Public art installation standing guard outside Fairfield station in suburban Melbourne.

When installed over twenty years ago, FIDO attracted much derision and heated debate, but has now seemingly earned acceptance and even affection.  Though its original functions ceased for some time, locals tell me that FIDO does again waggle various parts and illuminate eyes, though only occasionally and unpredictably. 

(Beyond the person soaking up some winter sunshine in the middle distance can be seen a sign.  Within this image, the words of the sign can be resolved: Give Your Clothes A Second Life. The iPhone 8 has quite a good lens.)
