Lac Mercier Pano, Namur, Quebec - a photo on Flickriver

            There are more than 9,000 lakes in Quebec’s Laurentian region. I pass lakes like this all the time, but on this day, I stopped to take a photo because of the clouds, the light conditions and the mountain on the right (some might call it a hill – I’ve heard others jealously refer to these as anthills). Before taking this photo, I was looking for something more interesting in the foreground than just grass. There was a piece of farming equipment that had been posed to the right of where I was standing, but I don’t like posed farm equipment. I took this photo and lowered the camera, at which time my foreground appeared before me (see next photo tomorrow).
