Dry the wings after landing - a photo on Flickriver

            The cool autumn breeze ruffles the feathers of a duck as it landed in a cold lake. The surface of the water is calm and still, reflecting the vibrant autumn foliage that surrounds the shoreline. The duck shakes its wings vigorously, droplets of water spraying in all directions as it dries its feathers. Its glossy feathers catch the light, shimmering in the sun's golden rays.
