Yellow Banksia Rose Blooms - Preston

            I took an afternoon stroll in during a beautiful bout of rather spring like weather the other day, and I walked past this beautiful bower of golden Yellow Banksia Roses, which is thriving in the well maintained garden of a stylish red brick Art Deco villa.  

Melbourne has experienced a colder and wetter than average winter this year, which is now bleeding well and truly into a wetter and greyer than average spring, however on the rare sunny days we are currently getting, the showing of flowers and blossoms is beautiful.

Yellow Banksia Rose (Rosa banksiae Lutea) is a vigorous evergreen climber with soft yellow double flowers. Also known as Lady Banks' Rose, or just Banks' Rose, this lovely plant is a member of the Rose family so worthy of a spot in most gardens.
