In a classic Methodist style. - a photo on Flickriver

            The Wesleyan Methodist chapel on Etruria Old Road (formerly Lord Street) in Etruria, Stoke-on-Trent.
This chapel was built in 1820, funded by Jesse Shirley, to replace an earlier chapel of 1808 which was built nearby. It was extended in the late nineteenth century and a Sunday school was added in 1864. In its heyday the congregation reached about 430. It was known as Etruria Wedgwood chapel possibly due to its proximity to the nearby Josiah Wedgwood factory in Etruria.
This is a grade II listed building showing the classical style of many such chapels in the Potteries.
