Look What I Got for Christmas! (Phidippus audax)

            A Bold Jumping Spider consuming a House Spider.  This is Mr. Mays.  He has lived in a little "condo" in our home for almost a year.  He has two separate associates, also Bold Jumping Spiders, which each have their own "condo" (recycled clear candy boxes), Eve, and Ed.  Those two have been with us for one year!  Jumping spiders are sometimes referred to as the "cute" spiders of the Arachnids.  They are easy to care for and in captivity can live a year or more.
