            Looking out from Bishop Bridge which carries Saxilby Road over the Catchwater Drainage Dyke close to Burton By Lincoln in Lincolnshire.

The Catchwater Drainage Dyke runs from south of North Carlton, past South Carlton and Burton By Lincoln. It then runs parallel with the northern section of the Main Drainage Dyke through Burton Fields until they both join at the River Witham. They then travel as a single dyke south through Swanpool until close to Boultham Mere were they join with the southern section. All three as one single dyke heads into Lincoln, through New Boultham, along Coulson Road and into the River Witham.

(There is a separate drainage dyke also called Catchwater Drain further south which runs from Skellingthorpe to the River Witham).
