Cape Cod (CCRLEC) SWAT Unit @ Marriott Hotel, Boston, MA

Parked on the sidewalk directly in front of the Marriott Hotel in downtown Boston. This photo was taken on Thursday, April 18th, the day before the citywide lockdown and only a few days after the marathon bombing itself. At one point it was reported that there were over 9,000 law enforcement personnel in the city of Boston and surrounding areas involved in the pursuit of the bombers.

This co-op SWAT unit is officially known as the Cape Cod Regional Law Enforcement Council, Inc.(CCRLEC) and SWAT is only one part of the service the council provides.

They were Founded 2002 and are currently serving the Communities of
Barnstable, Bourne, Brewster, Chatham, Dennis, Eastham, Falmouth, Harwich, Mashpee,
Nantucket, Orleans, Provincetown, Sandwich, Truro, Wellfleet, & Yarmouth
Massachusetts.
