Adelzhausen - St. Salvator 01 - a photo on Flickriver

            The Catholic church of St. Salvator in Adelzhausen, a municipality in the Swabian district of Aichach-Friedberg (Bavaria), was built in 1671. The pilgrimage church, located southeast of the village on an open field, is a protected monument.

Instead of today's building, a cane with a carved grace image of the Saviour stood on the open field. The then court marksman Johann Franz von Preysing had a chapel built here in 1671 and the pilgrimage picture transferred there. The current building was built in 1730. Probably around 1736 changes were made. In 1858, a gallery was installed, which was removed during the renovation in 1960/61.
