View from the Massanutten Lodge Area of Skyland

            Scenic morning landscape looking towards the north-west from the Skyland area of Shenandoah National Park (SNP).  The morning sun is just starting to wash down over the mountain tops of the distant George Washington National Forest range and into the valley.  The morning was very clear, as seen from the clear view of the Shenandoah Valley.  The roof of the rental cabin next to historic Massanutten Lodge is aglow reflecting the blue sky above.  Massanutten Lodge was the mountain bungalow home of Addie Nairn Pollock, a prominent figure in the development of the Skyland resort area.  From the view, you can see why this area was picked for their lodge!
