The Fleeting Fires of Fall [explored on 2021/12/08]

The air was crystal clear, the mysterious ambiance of the lazy meanders of the river nullified by the bright light of the rising day. The premises were not too good - yet.... who knows?
I have been gifted with many sunrises and I have often experienced a kind of time dilation - a curious, precious effect by which I perceived a sunrise as if its duration was very longer than it really was. Individual perceptions in open contradiction with clocks and objective measurements - yet, in a sense, equally real.. Well, on that late November morning the wonder of the sunrise lasted maybe five minutes to my watch - and no more than a couple of minutes to my own perceptions. The fires of Fall ignited, and in the time of a breath they were gone. The Fleeting Fires of Fall...
Well, that's it. I have just two or three bracketings capturing the colours and fires of that sunrise, and this is one of them. Is there anything else worth saying? Maybe not. Just enjoy the picture and give credence to the stories it might tell you.

I have processed this picture by blending an exposure bracketing [-1.3/-0.67/0/+0.67/+1.3 EV] by luminosity masks with the Gimp (EXIF data, as usual, refer to the "normal" exposure shot), then I added some final touches with Nik Color Efex Pro 4.
Along the journey I tried the inverted RGB blue channel technique described by Boris Hajdukovic, which has contributed substantially to the middle section of the scene. Raw files processed with Darktable.
