286/2022 - Ruiseñor pechiazul macho, (Luscinia svecica).

            Visto y fotografiado en la reserva natural de Riet Vell, Delta de l’Ebre. 

El ruiseñor pechiazul, es un pájaro paseriforme de muy pequeño tamaño. Como lo indica uno de sus nombres comunes ("Ruiseñor pechiazul"), se puede reconocer por el intenso color azul eléctrico de las plumas ubicadas en su pecho y en la frontal del cuello en los especímenes macho. Suele habitar en matorrales o claros húmedos, los cuales utiliza para nidificar. Esta especie tiene la particularidad de hacer una sola puesta de huevos al año y debido a la variabilidad de su patrón del plumaje, se reconocen hasta tres subespecies distintas.
