Lake Okareka is one of 7 lakes in the Rotorua, within the Bay of Plenty Region of New Zealand and probably the most beautiful. This view...... just astounding!.

Mount Tarwera was the subject of a massive Eruption in 1886. You can see the top of the mountain on the left has been completely Blown Off!!!

4 shot pano @80mm, heavily compressed for Flickr as original is 2GB and 198 Megapixels. In the original file, you can see sheep and fence posts on the ridge line of the green hill in front of the mountain.

The top ridge line and mountain are only light by the setting sun for a short period of time on the right nights!
