Arrival into the Clyde from Tilbury May 2016 after decades away

With the magnificent backdrop of the Rosneath Peninsula and a freshening westerly , the TS Queen Mary , having already been transferred to the two local tugs , gracefully glides up the Firth of Clyde after her absence of some 35 years.

Rescued by Friends of TS Queen Mary fronted by actor Robbie Coltrane , who raised approx £350K to make her seaworthy for her towed transfer north from Tilbury Docks on the Thames. 

She must be made of strong stuff being in sheltered waters for decades then put to sea.
In 2018 she had her 85th Anniversay
