En raison d'une nouvelle norme anti-incendie en Italie les compositions Domino CFF/RA rt navettes avec VU IV ne sont plus autorisés par RFI sur le parcours italien de la ligne du Simplon, à partir du 01.01.2024 et jusqu'à nouvel avis. Dès cette date les trains CFF IR et IC sont supprimés entre Brig et Domodossola jusqu'à l'obtention des autorisations nécessaires. Cette mesure ne concerne pas les RE BLS exploités en MIKA ou NINA et les EC en Pendolino Astoro des CFF et FS. Une navette avec la Re 460 045 renforcée d'un module côté Brig stationne sur la voie 4. [Update 02.01.2024]: L'exploitation normale devrait reprendre le 4 janvier 2024.
