Trenchford Reservoir - a photo on Flickriver

            Yesterday we spent a fabulous morning trying out a new walk at Trenchford and Tottiford Reservoir in Dartmoor National Park. My wife recently bought this walking guide for short walks for the whole family and this was one of the walks (4 km). From the Trenchford car park we started along the lovely secluded reservoir then up into a gorgeous dense forest and back along the second reservoir. We were really lucky with the weather as it started to pour down just after we drove off from the car park. We picked the sweet spot for yesterday as we had sunshine throughout our little family adventure. Highlights included a well deserved picnic at a beautiful spot right at the water edge, spotting a slowworm on our path, lots of large dragonflies and the smell of the woodland! We will certainly come back to this wonderfully hidden wonderland!
