CCCP-65854 Aeroflot Tupolev Tu-134A on the stand at Paris CDG

Soviet aviation memories from a collection of some 80 slides of Soviet-built aircraft that I've had scanned from my archives. Hope they will provide some enjoyment and nostalgia from a bygone age.

CCCP-65854 veteran Aeroflot Tu-134A is seen here on the stand at Paris Charles de Gaulle (Roissy) - with a slight heat haze :)
Note the glazed nose that some of these aircraft carried, hinting at their dual use as military transports.

The Tu-134s were never as regular as the Tu-154s, both at Heathrow or Gatwick, and if they appeared at Heathrow at all, they tended to operate the Leningrad (SU637/8) flights rather than the Moscow flights (SU241/2), the latter being booked Ilyushin Il-62M. I'm not sure how often they appeared at Paris?

CCCP-65854 c/n 23248 - Tupolev Tu-134A delivered new to Aeroflot 11Feb1975 and flew with the airline into the post-Eastern Bloc era, as RA-65854 with Russian Airlines, but sold around 1992 to Pulkovo Avia - the airline that was formed from Aeroflot's Leningrad (St Petersburg) division. Withdrawn around Oct1996 as life-expired - registration cancelled 11Feb1997 and broken up.

Taken with a Soviet made Zenith E camera and 300mm lens. From an original slide, scanned with minimal digital restoration.
