M in the Winspit caves - wide view - a photo on Flickriver

I recently scanned another (I think the last) neg. in this series, taking in a wide view from the entrance to the cave. It makes Marie, who had climbed up onto a boulder, which was nearly as tall as her, look tiny but gives a good idea of the immense scale of the place – representing the fragility of humanity in the forces of nature.

Like my recently posted Kodachrome slide, it shows the quality achievable with 35mm film and a good lens – as seen in this selective enlargement of <2% of the frame which I have now posted as a stand-alone picture as I rather like the texture effect of the "blow-up"...
