on the valley way trail, new hampshire

            it's 3.8 miles and 3,550' of climbing to the madison spring AMC hut, from the appalachia trailhead in randolph, new hampshire.  we got a late start, and given that and poor visibility and high winds, we felt little incentive to press on to the nearby summit of mount madison.  

I shot this on my new used fuji x-e1 with 16-50mm kit lens.  I used the in-camera raw conversion (the original shot was in black and white) and did a bit more editing in photoshop elements.
